In a Nutshell
Negramole was brought to Chile inadvertently mixed with País hundreds of years ago ( It is called San Francisco locally )
We thought of calling the wine Stowaway but that word does not come into the English language until the 1800 ́s (centuries after this grape esconded to Chile so we decided it was a passenger: Passageiro Escondido
It was difficult to find enough, that ripened at more or less the same time,
It took a few harvests to find its groove
What we never imagined was the delay to get it approved for sale as Negramole
House note
Darker [and more serious] than many País out there with proper complexity and depth, ripe flavors and round tannins without ‘rusticity’. This is the character of the grape on granite soils made in small lots with focus.
