Some very kind words from Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate in the recent article by Matthew Luczy— the new man on the beat for South America.
Beyond the contentment for Pilar, Alvaro, Ernesto, Ignacio and I and the whole team on the farms and in the bodegas, without doubt, this is a broader recognition for the old vines of the Maule and Itata and for the farmers who have been the stewards of these vineyards and this viticulture for generations. Raise a glass with us to wine made small on purpose, with focus. More hand, more land, less brand.
Beyond our having achieved something— make no mistake Matthew, we are thrilled! let this be a call for many more to do more to revive and make thrive important pieces of the mosaic that is wine, and to do business, thinking long term: business as a force for good.
Better agriculture makes for better health as well as better cheer.
