What is a parcel?
When we began looking for fruit in the Maule we wanted to experiment. We began sourcing fruit from different small parcels generally from farmers who worked with a horse and plough. We made each wine separately to see how the soils and climates expressed themselves differently. They did-- very differently, so we decided not to blend them and instead built our portfolio [and company] upon these parcels : Las Higueras, Bagual, Sauzal,
Truquilemu, Portezuelo... Today we make wines from 11 different parcels some as small as 18oo +/- bottles and others as large as 75oo +/- per vintage. They range from about .6 Hectare to 1.9 hectares.
